Ernst Hommer grew up in his parents' black-smith's shop in Koblenz. Immediately after the fall of the Berlin Wall, he settled in Thuringia and worked as a plant manager in a façade company. In 1997 he founded EuroLam GmbH. The 50 em-ployees now deliver louvre window systems all over the world. With "CityLam", Ernst Hommer developed a wall-mounted façade greening sys-tem that is intended to contribute to a positive climate balance in cities.

Mr. Tiwari is an ecologist and development pro-fessional with over 20 years of professional experience in a spectrum of sectors spanning the rural and urban sectors. Mr Tiwari joined ICLEI in 2010 in the South Asia office and developed the Urban Resilience Programme. In January 2017, he joined the World Secretariat where he leads and is responsible for the Global Projects team. Among others, he is currently leading and sup-porting the implementation of five projects funded by the International Climate Initiative (ICI) on topics such as establishing biodiversity in urban areas, transport and low-carbon development.

Prof. Dr. Londong is active in teaching in the courses of civil engineering, environmental engineering, water and environment. His main research interests are: novel sanitation concepts, resource utilization, adaptation of water and wastewater infrastructure to climate change and demographic change, removal of trace substances. Prof. Dr. Londong is deputy chairman of the DWA technical committee KA-1 "Novel sanitation systems" and member of the board of the Bauhaus Institute for Future-Oriented Infrastructure (b.is) at the Bauhaus University Weimar.

Frank Lange holds a degree in industrial engi-neering and has been managing director of the VFF and the Quality Association for Windows, Façades and House Doors e.V. since the beginning of 2019. After studying at the Technical University of Braunschweig, Mr. Lange worked at Lanco Lange Fenster- und Fassadenbau GmbH in Göttingen until 2010 as an authorised signatory, technical manager and sales manager. Mr Lange then became self-employed and founded the project and consulting company Frami GmbH in Göttingen as managing partner. After the sale of Frami GmbH, he became an authorised signatory with overall responsibility for the Leinefelde branch of Seufert Niklaus GmbH in 2015.

Dr Bernd Murschel studied agricultural sciences and earned his doctorate in soil physics. He worked as a lecturer and independent environmental consultant. He has been a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg since 2006, where he represents the constituency of Leonberg-Herrenberg. In the current legislative period, he is the environmental policy spokesman for the Greens in state parliament.

Prof. Daniel Arztmann studied architecture and façade engineering and has been working in the façade sector since 2003. He is head of building physics at Schüco International KG in Bielefeld and teaches as a professor of façade construction at the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences. He is an active member of the ConstructionLab research focus at TH-OWL (Technical University of Ostwestfalen-Lippe) and the European Façade Network.
